Anna's class has been working on a play the past few weeks, and on Friday we got to see the performance. Here is a picture of the invitation she brought home.

It was a wonderful performance and each student had a part to play, whether it was acting, making sound effects, or being the announcer. I was not able to take many pictures since we weren't sitting very close, but the teachers videotaped a dress rehearsal performance and will be emailing us the link next week, so hopefully I'll be able to post it here.
Anna played the part of the Farmer's Wife. She had several lines to memorize but we had no idea! She worked on them at school and didn't tell us much about it because she wanted it to be a surprise. Here she is with her friend Aliyah, who played the part of the Hen.

The students created the backdrop for the play. I couldn't get a good picture of the whole thing, but it was so creative and detailed. As you can probably guess, the story takes place on a farm. Anna created the pink house where the Farmer and his wife live. They plant a carrot seed and it grows so big that they can't pull it out. They have to call their family members and farm animals to help them come pull it out. Once they pull it up, it is so big that the Farmer's Wife makes enough carrot cake to feed the whole audience! Norah said it was the best play she had ever seen, and we were all very proud of Anna.
