Last week we were blessed with a visit from the Newton Clan. Pops and Mum drove here from Minnesota, and Ben, Lindsey, Sam and Caroline flew in from Pennsylvania. It has been several months since we have been together, but this visit was especially meaningful because it will be the last time we'll see Ben and Linds for awhile. They will be moving to Asia in September as missionaries with a new InnerCHANGE team as a part of CRM. So we tried to just soak up the time together and enjoy watching our kids have fun together.
We spent one day up in the mountains at Breckenridge. We rode the gondola from the town up to the base of the ski area, which was very exciting. The kids had never experienced anything like that before, and they loved it. It must have been quite entertaining for the lift operators to see all ten of us try to cram into a moving gondola.
At the top, there were lots of fun activities. B & L and their kids decided to try the Alpine Slide, but our girls chose gemstone mining. No surprise there. These two have been obsessed with rocks all summer. They found so many cool new rocks to add to their collections.
