I just got back from a super fun weekend in Chicago with my college roommates. We try to get together at least once a year, and this time Angela was the gracious hostess. When we get together, we usually do three things: talk, eat, and shop! And that's pretty much what we did this weekend.
We have lots of great memories of weekend trips to Chicago when we were in college, and no trip to Chi-town was complete without a visit to Lou Malnati's for pizza. We met Ang's parents there for lunch on Saturday and it was great to catch up with them. And Coach wanted us to take a picture in front of these guys. I'm pretty sure I have a similar one from college!
Our next stop was shopping in downtown Chicago. It's so much fun to shop with these girls. They know how to find a bargain, and they all have very good fashion sense, in my opinion. Now that we all live in four different states, we miss being able to share clothes with each other. But now we can both buy the same outfit and not worry about wearing it at the same time!
It's time for a Starbuck's break...
Another Chicago tradition: Garrett's popcorn! Oh my word it is AMAZING stuff. They mix cheese popcorn and caramel corn together. Seriously one of my favorite snacks ever. Thanks, Stace for treating us to our favorite popcorn!

Ang lives in one of Chicago's unique neighborhoods. There are lots of great restaurants and shops within walking distance, and you can hop on the L and get downtown really quickly. She has a great view from her balcony on the 6th floor, and on Sunday we could see the runners in the Chicago marathon.
Thanks, Ang, for being such a great hostess and showing us some of your favorite places.
You can barely see the runners in the background behind us. I am definitely not a runner, but it was very cool to watch them. We even got to see the winners as they ran through the neighborhood. All from the comfort of our own condo!
I am so thankful for these three friends and the way they have influenced and continue to influence my life. I always come away from our times together refreshed and encouraged. Can't wait to see you all again!
