Hiking

Yesterday afternoon we took the girls for a hike at Lair O' the Bear Park near Morrison. I can't remember the last time we went for an actual hike, so it was a really fun, new experience for them. Norah loved throwing rocks in the creek.

Anna was posing so sweetly for a picture by the wildflowers, but Norah was too busy picking up sticks and rocks to comply.
We stopped for a little snack at this bench.

At the very end of the hike, Anna spotted a tiny garter snake on the trail. It slithered away as soon as we saw it, but I think it kind of scared her. But she keeps talking about how she saw a snake! We've got a whole list of other good hikes for kids, so we'll have to do this again very soon.
