We started the day on Monday with a short drive to Marietta, which is where the Newtons lived when Joel and Ben were babies. We even found their old house!
That afternoon we visited the Strasburg Railroad and took a ride on the rails. We rode on a restored train that took us through beautiful Pennsylvania farm country.
Ben bought some Whoopie Pies from some Amish kids for us to try.
As you can tell, we really enjoyed them.
It was a very fun, unique way to see Pennsylvania. Here's a video of the engine moving from one end of the train to the other in the middle of our journey. The conductor told us we should all cheer for the engineer as he passed so he would be nice enough to take us back to the station!
