Trip to the Scovill Zoo

Yesterday we went to the Scovill Zoo in Decatur. What a fun place! For a small zoo, they had quite a variety of animals and even a petting zoo.

It must be mating season, because this peacock was struttin' his stuff all over the place. There was one point we even had to take a different path because we couldn't get past him.

One of the zookeepers told us they were putting the alligators in their pen for the first time this season. So we watched them bring the alligators to the gate and herd them down a ramp and into the pen. It was fun to see the animals so close up and ask the zookeepers questions.
