Palm Sunday and a funny Norah story

Spoiler alert! Below you will find a picture of the Newton girls in their Easter outfits before Easter. So don't look if you want to be surprised. They convinced me to let them wear their outfits today (which were graciously picked out and purchased by Granna over a month ago). But since it was chilly this morning, they decided to add leggings. Green ones for Palm Sunday, according to Anna.
One of the fun things Joel gets to do for his job is to give a children's sermon at both campuses on Sunday mornings. He is continuing a Newton family tradition that began with his Dad giving children's sermons by using these characters: Buddy Bear and Spunky and Dunky the monkeys. Buddy Bear is kind of a God character. He rescued the monkeys from danger and brought them home to live with him, and he teaches them all kinds of lessons about life. So the kids and adults at our church have grown to love these characters.
Well, today Joel was talking about Palm Sunday with the kids, and he decided not to bring Buddy Bear and the monkeys with him. He doesn't usually ask questions during his message because you never know what kids are going to say, but for some reason today he asked "What did Jesus come to save us from?" Norah, who was standing right next to her daddy yelled out "Buddy Bear!"

Everyone got a good laugh. Apparently Norah needs to be rescued from Buddy Bear. When we asked her why she said that, she just grinned.
