Joel took some high school students from our church on a mission trip last week (you can read about that here), so the girls and I flew to New Mexico to spend some time with my family. We started our trip by spending a few days in Ruidoso at the condo.
For some reason Anna insists on making this face in every picture I take of her.
Several of my aunts and uncles came up to spend the day with us. My cousin Pandy is 11 and she played with the girls. They had so much fun with her.
One of their favorite things to do is go swimming, so we did a lot of that.
Anna has never had swim lessons, but by the end of the week she was doggy paddling around the shallow end with no floaties on. I'm hoping to get them in some lessons later this summer.
Becky came all the way from LA to spend a weekend with us. It was so good to see her. She volunteered to read books to the girls at bed time and it became part of the routine.

We're so thankful that we were able to spend time with Papa and Granna at their house. It's always lots of fun!
