Outing to the Zoo

Today we went to the Denver Zoo with my friend Michelle and her daughter Lauren and son Luke. We haven't been there since last summer, so it was fun to see the girls get really excited about seeing the animals. One of our favorite things we saw today was a polar bear. He was swimming in the water and playing with a ball, and we were watching him in the underwater viewing area. The girls thought that was very cool, and so did I! :) Here they are comparing their height to a polar bear.
Not a great picture of the girls, but you can see the giraffes in the background. Another favorite today.
I pulled this wagon all around the zoo with at least two, sometimes three girls in it. I'm really tired tonight, but I got a good workout in and it was a beautiful day. This picture was taken right after we ate lunch. It was a grassy spot with a bunch of peacocks roaming around, trying to scrounge up some snacks. The girls had dropped some chips and of course the peacock found them and came really close to us. Norah was terrified and insisted on sitting on my lap because she thought the peacock was going to steal her cookie.
And of course we had to ride the carousel. My girls are carousel junkies. Norah wouldn't even let me hold onto her this time. Apparently, she's a pro.

What a fun day! We are all worn out tonight!
