The past few days we've been working on our backyard, trying to make it look better and be more functional. Joel worked really hard on putting in new mulch and gravel, and we really like the way it turned out. Here's Joel and the girls admiring his handiwork.
Our new "patio". It used to be covered in the remains of random stuff that was under our old deck, but we leveled it off with some gravel and bought some comfy chairs. Our house gets pretty warm by dinnertime, so we've been enjoying the cool evenings sitting in these chairs the past few nights.
The girls like the new chairs too. Maybe we should have gotten four!
I decided to try growing some tomatoes and herbs this year. We'll see how it goes. I've never had much of a green thumb. Here's Norah in front of my patio tomatoes.
