Christmas Morning

We enjoyed a very fun and low-key Christmas morning yesterday. The girls woke up about 6:30 am, which was later than we expected, but we headed downstairs together and checked to make sure Santa ate the cookies we left him before opening presents. They had quite a few gifts, but it didn't take long to open them at all! Norah has had a cold for the past few days, but you could still hear her excitement even through her hoarse little voice.

Joel and I took each girl shopping for a gift for her sister, and it was so cute to see what they picked out for each other. This is the Barbie painting book Norah picked for Anna. And in the video below, you can see Norah opening her gift from Anna.

And the after effects of all the excitement. We all stayed in our pajamas most of the day and since it was zero degrees outside and very windy, we stayed inside. We enjoyed having no plans and having Daddy home all day long. We had spaghetti and meatballs for Christmas dinner (Anna's request). We missed being with our family, but we hope everyone enjoyed their Christmas celebration too!
